Julius Castle - California-Italian
Perched high atop Telegraph Hill, adjacent to Coit Tower and with expansive views of San Francisco Bay, Julius' Castle is San Francisco's most famous landmark restaurant. It was built in 1922 by Italian immigrant Julius Roz. Materials and craftsmen from the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition were used to build this spectacular dream-come-true castle which has amazed San Franciscans and visitors from all over the world. North Beach Restaurant is a world famous San Francisco destination serving authentic Tuscan cuisine. Mona Lisa Ristorante is a family owned and operated Italian restaurant that is possibly the best kept secret in San Francisco. They have a very extensive menu of pastas, housemade pizza, and antipasti. Each dish is lovingly prepared with great flavor and artistry. We think this is the best pizza in North Beach. Close to the new Pac Bell Ballpark and Moscone Center. Vino e Cucina has warm Italian style that feels like a home away from home. Within 2 blocks of the Factory Outlet shops, and a short walk from the downtown, their menu of Italian dishes offers an excellent antipasti plate to start, or Calamari Fritti with a Tuscan bread salad. Great Lasagna Arrotolate (rolled spinach lasagna filled with prosciutto, gruyere & parmesan cheeses, spinach, and baked in a 4 cheese creme sauce).
